Thuraya X5-Touch is the world’s first Android-based satellite & GSM phone.

Thuraya X5-Touch is the world’s first Android-based satellite & GSM phone. 

It operates in the Android OS and features a 5.2” FHD touch screen. It is a product suitable for a user constantly entering and exiting ground coverage traveling through various markets, and it provides quick connectivity in transit while also available for use in deserted locations where smartphones generally do not work.

1. Durable satellite phone - Thuraya X5-Touch is the most durable phone in the industry in compliance with IP67 and MIL 810 G/F.

2. Dual mode Dual SIM- It can communicate effectively in both satellite and GSM modes, and Thuraya X5-Touch operates on the L-band satellite network of Thuraya as well as GSM 2G/3G/4G/LTE networks. It is equipped with two nano SIM card slots.

3. SAT and GSM “Always On” mode support - It can communicate simultaneously in both satellite and GSM networks with the “Always On” function.

4. Advanced navigation function - It supports GSP, BeiDou, and Glonass systems and uses a tracking app to transmit the current location information to a pre-designated contact via SMS or email. 

5. Powerful battery- It provides up to 11 hours of call duration and 100 hours of standby time, and makes communication over a long period of time possible.

6. SOS button easily accessible in emergencies- There is a dedicated SOS button to easily request for assistance in emergencies. Even when the phone is turned off, pressing the SOS button for 3 seconds will turn the phone on and transmit SOS call or SMS to a pre-designated number.

7. Camera support- It features a camera on the front side and the rear side.

8. Storage space expandability- You can expand the storage space up to 32GB through a dedicated Micro-SD slot.
