TETRA Interoperability Certificate was registered for the next generation TEDS modem, first time in the World

We obtained the TETRA Interoperability Certificate for the next generation TEDS modem, which uses the Trunked Radio System, from TCCA(TETRA and Critical Communications Association) in January 9, 2013.

 We successfully carried out the “Next Generation Digital TRS(TETRA) Core Technology Development(2007-S028-03” project, a national project directed by the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, from March 1, 2007 to February 28, 2010. Based on the project, we succeeded in developing “APT7000 TETRA R2”, the TEDS modem, in 2012 after 2 years of efforts for the commercialization.

Except for Motorola, We are the only company which obtained the certificate, and our TEDS technology has been recognized in the world market as we successfully completed the TEDS IOP test with the Cassidian Station equipment one week before Motorola and obtained the certificate for it.

 TETRA is the TRS technology determined as the standard by European Telecommunications Standards Institute(ETSI), and it is divided into the first generation and the next generation(Release 2). The first generation TETRA technology is widely used for the emergency communications in various fields such as police, fire-fighting, medical service and security service, and also used in the internal networks of private companies.

 Our newly certified TEDS modem has a wider bandwidth than the first generation modem, and utilizes the modulation system for supporting the streaming service through the high-speed packet data communications. It can also utilized in the SCADA(Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) system in utilities such as oil and gas providers. We are currently discussing the joint project with a European radio station equipment supplier to enter the world market.
