[APSI Signs XT-PRO Satellite Phone Supply Agreement, Secures KRW 6.2 Billion Order]
APSI (KOSDAQ: 211270), a specialist in satellite communications equipment, announced on May 4 that it has signed a supply agreement with Thuraya, a global satellite communications operator, for its XT-PRO satellite phones. The contract is valued at approximately KRW 6.2 billion, representing about 13% of the company’s most recent annual revenue.
The contract period runs from April 16, 2026, to May 30, 2027, with the order officially awarded on April 30. The agreement is expected to expand APSI’s supply track record in the satellite communications terminal sector and strengthen its position in the global market.
The XT-PRO satellite phone is designed for a wide range of professional users, including government agencies, energy companies, media organizations, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). The device supports simultaneous reception of GPS, BeiDou, and GLONASS signals, enhancing positioning accuracy and security across service coverage areas.
In terms of performance, the XT-PRO provides up to nine hours of continuous talk time. This is considered among the longest battery life available in the satellite phone market. The device also features an IP55-rated water- and dust-resistant design, ensuring reliable operation in harsh environments.
In addition, the XT-PRO is equipped with a large Gorilla Glass display that enhances both durability and visibility. Anti-glare functionality improves readability in outdoor conditions, while an SOS button and location-tracking capability can be activated during emergencies, even when the handset is powered off.
An APSI representative stated, “This contract will further expand our experience in supplying satellite communication terminals and strengthen our collaborative relationships with global customers. We also plan to address growing demand for specialized communications solutions in sectors such as government services and energy infrastructure.”
